Job description

Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, empowering legal professionals and law firms of every size to work smarter, faster, and more securely.

We are transforming the legal experience for all by bettering the lives of legal professionals while increasing access to justice.

Summary:

We are currently seeking a Sr. Program Manager, Talent Management to join our growing Talent Development & Learning Team. This role will be located in one of our Canadian hubs (Toronto, Vancouver, or Calgary).

What your team does:

The Talent Development & Learning team helps fuel Clio's growth by bridging today's skills with tomorrow's potential. We design high-impact learning solutions that empower our people to excel now, while building the strategic programs-from leadership development to talent systems and coaching-that support our talent at different phases of their career journey.

What you'll work on:
  • Program Ownership: Lead the execution, and continuous improvement of core talent management programs, inclusive of our annual talent systems cycle (feedback, goal-setting, talent reviews, calibration, and development planning), career development, and succession planning process.

  • Systems Architecture: Work with functional leaders in Total Rewards, People Systems & Analytics, Talent Development, and People Business Partners to design, improve, and optimize a coherent and impactful set of talent management programs that elevate the performance and development of all Clions. Operate with a systems lens, designing programs as interconnected rather than isolated parts.

  • Strategic Execution: Translate leadership decisions into system design recommendations and project plans. You help us transition from "problem" to "solution" to "global launch."

  • Operational Excellence: Lead end-to-end project management and maintenance for talent management programs, including our annual talent systems cycle. You are responsible for high quality execution, risk mitigation, and clear cross-functional coordination.

  • PBP & Manager Enablement: Serve as the primary partner to People Business Partners and enablement provider for people managers. You build the playbooks, training, and FAQs they need to feel supported through our talent management programs.

  • Senior Leadership Influence: Convert talent data into actionable insights for senior leaders. Use these narratives to drive alignment across Total Rewards, People Systems & Analytics, People Business Partners, and business leaders.

  • Change Management: Drive adoption through audience-specific communications at key milestones that explain the why and how behind every talent management shift.

What you bring:
  • Scale: 8+ years of experience leading talent programs for organizations of 2,000+ employees, including managing/overseeing performance management and talent planning.

  • Product Mindset: Proven ability to apply systems thinking to HR; you see talent systems as interconnected parts rather than isolated processes.

  • Hybrid Operator: Able to move seamlessly between strategic program design and project management execution.

  • Influence: Expert-level communication and the ability to drive alignment across COEs without formal authority.

Bonus points if you have:
  • Experience leading Talent Management programs in hypergrowth tech.

  • Experience with Workday HRIS.

  • Demonstrated interest in elevating your craft using AI.

This is a new role.

What you will find here:

Compensation is one of the main components of Clio's Total Rewards Program. We have developed a series of programs and processes to ensure we are creating fair and competitive pay practices that form the foundation of our human and high-performing culture.

Some highlights of our Total Rewards program include:

  • Competitive, equitable salary with top-tier health benefits, dental, and vision insurance

  • Hybrid work environment, with expectation for local Clions (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin and Sydney) to be in office min. twice per week.

  • Flexible time off policy, with an encouraged 20 days off per year.

  • $2000 annual counseling benefit

  • RRSP matching and RESP contribution

  • Clioversary recognition program with special acknowledgement at 3, 5, 7, and 10 years

The expected salary range* for this role is $109,500 to $136,900 to $164,300 CAD. There are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.

*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
