Responsibilities
  • Responsible for executing and overseeing the maintenance, repair, and qualification testing of analytical instrumentation (HPLC, UPLC, and GC)
  • Provide feedback and guidance regarding instrumentation using advanced to expert professional and technical knowledge of related instrumentation and software.
  • Provides advanced to expert maintenance, diagnosis and repairs of HPLC, UPLC, and GC
  • Provides calibration and qualification of HPLC, UPLC and GC
  • Recommends and implements improvements to HPLC, UPLC, and GC systems.
  • Interacts with customers/staff to provide advanced to expert analytical instrument support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, electronics, or a closely related field
  • at least 5 years instrument/equipment troubleshooting and repair work
  • Complex to specialized knowledge of laboratory and analytical instrumentation, HPLC, UPLC and/or GC
  • Complex to specialized knowledge of metrology standards
  • Principles, practices, and techniques to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems on HPLC, UPLC, and/or GC
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable area laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
