Concept Overview: Tucked into downtown Glenview, Zenzi Den is Ballyhoo Hospitality’s newest concept, arriving Spring 2026. The space blends Japanese-inspired comfort with a buzzy, come-as-you-are energy, layered with natural textures and intentional design. Thoughtfully sourced meats, seafood, and vegetables hit the robata grill, where live fire does what it does best, deep flavor, real soul. Whether you’re settling in for a low-key dinner or gathering the crew, Zenzi Den brings Ballyhoo’s signature feel-good dining and genuinely warm hospitality to the table.

Job Summary: The Takeout Specialist position provides exceptional service and hospitality to every take-out guest in the restaurant while participating in teamwork ensuring absolute guest satisfaction. Takeout Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner and ensuring guests get their orders without delay. As a direct link between the guest and the restaurant a takeout server plays the leading role in developing positive, lasting guest relationships by consistently delivering an excellent takeout experience every time. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, ensure smooth service operations and provide consistent, pleasant, quality service.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and build relationships with guests while encouraging regulars.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both with guests and team members.
  • Process and complete all takeout orders
  • Process payment for takeout orders in POS
  • Serve guests as part of a team by anticipating their needs
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both front and back of the house.
  • The ability to learn new food and menu items.
  • Passion to learn and participate in daily food training.
  • Proficiency in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment, including Toast POS system and Rewards Program, Gift Card and Credit Card terminals.
  • Ability to maintain a clean working environment.
  • Must pass general information and food and beverage quizzes.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
  • ServSafe certification
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
