Job description

Position Requirements:

Perform duties to maintain, troubleshoot, and at times, operate equipment.

Work from blueprints, electrical diagrams, and equipment and process control manuals and instructions:

  • Verify, perform or assist with machine set-ups.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, and serve problems where applicable.
  • Adjust process parameters.
  • Adjust machine hardware, such as sensors, motion devices, and mechanical components.
  • Verify new tooling prior to running production, which includes changing die stops where applicable.
  • Collaborate with engineers for repair parts from central stores.
  • Maintain tooling and spare parts storage areas in an organized manner.
  • Run test and prototype parts as needed. This includes documentation, and any required process checks.
  • Respond to SPC data and make determination regarding process adjustment.
  • Analyze machine rejects; determine the nature of the problem and adjust process or machine.
  • Provide technical assistance to skilled trades.
  • Maintain logbooks and performance measures.
  • Material handle.
  • Perform work orders, PM's, and other duties as defined.

Use gauge blocks, dial indicators, micrometers, forklift truck, and hand tools.

Must know how to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics.

Must have computer skills

Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Act and perform duties in a manner that is conducive to a professional, productive and team-oriented environment.

Degree Requirements: Must have a High School Diploma or GED

Rate: $24.55 - $28.85

Internal Candidates: Eligibility to Bid

Employees with less than one year of service are only eligible to bid on higher-paying labor grade positions.

Employees with more than one year of service will receive first consideration.

Employees in a Disciplinary Step 1 are eligible to bid on any job.

Employees in Step 2 are eligible to bid on any job after 1 year.

Employees in Step 3 are eligible to bid on any job after 1 year.

If an employee accepted a new position, they cannot bid on the same or lower paying labor grade for 1 year.

If you were previously forced out of this job classification and are interested in returning to the position, you must complete a job bidding form.

This Position requires that you be able to Read and Write English.

Employees who have been interviewed within 6 months for the SAME exact position may not be re-interview.
