Job description

Houston Methodist Hospital: The Department of Neurology at Houston Methodist is under rapid expansion in its clinical services and research. US News & World Report ranked Houston Methodist Hospital on the honor roll among more than 1,000 hospitals and No. 13 in neurology and neurosurgery in 2034-2024. It has also named Houston Methodist Hospital the #1 hospital in Texas every year since the award began.

We are seeking general neurologists to join the Department of Neurology. The neurologist will join the General Neurology Division along with other General Neurologists, Neurohospitalists, Pain Management specialists, and Nurse Practitioners. The division aims to provide residents with the highest quality of clinical care, patient access, and excellent training to residents.

Qualified Candidates:

  • Completed neurology residency

  • Relevant fellowship training (not required for general neurology)

  • Eligible to obtain a Texas medical license or have a Texas medical license in good standing

  • Exercises medical decision-making and provides a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services

  • Exhibits leadership in supervising NPs

  • Participates in the training of NPs, Fellows, Residents, and Medical Students
