About the Role
As a Production Supervisor at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, in Blytheville, AR, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations across the plant. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys leading and developing teams, and is passionate about continuous improvement and safety excellence.
What You'll Do
  • Leads and promotes safe work practices in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Performs regular quality checks on production processes and equipment to ensure customer and quality requirements are met.
  • Develops and manages daily work schedules to achieve production goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Delegates responsibilities and monitors team performance to ensure operational success.
  • Provides training, cross-training, evaluations, and corrective actions to support employee growth and accountability.
  • Monitors and supervises cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Generates and reviews daily operation reports to ensure smooth shift transitions and address production issues.
  • Identifies and escalates maintenance concerns to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Collaborates with the Quality Department to uphold and improve quality standards.
  • Develops and executes action plans to enhance plant performance and meet key objectives.
  • Documents safety incidents, recommends improvements, and implements corrective actions to reinforce a culture of safety.
  • Hires, coaches, and evaluates employees while promoting a positive and productive work environment.

Who You Are
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Associate degree with an emphasis on management or supervision (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficient in shop floor systems such as MES and SAP (or comparable platforms).
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective at conflict resolution, team building, and time management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Physical Abilities
  • Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this role.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor as required to perform supervisory duties.
