Marriott Syracuse Downtown seeks Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure staff of housekeeping department cleans and maintains guest rooms and public spaces in accordance with client/guest expectations and Crescent standards of product and service.

Here is what you will be doing each day as a Housekeeping Supervisor:

  • Oversee staff of room attendants, housepersons, and inspectors by conducting daily and monthly meetings, inspecting staff work and giving guidance so that deficiencies are corrected and standards are met.
  • Train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline when appropriate.
  • Inspection of cleaned guest rooms, turndown service, public areas, and back of house; ensure compliance with accidents/loss prevention programs and health/sanitation.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

You are a leader, are comfortable with training others and understand the importance of listening with empathy and intent to your co-workers. You have working knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment along with the ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

  • The Housekeeping Supervisor must have flexible availability with the ability to work either day or evening shifts as needed
  • Experience inspecting rooms and supervising staff required
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish speaking) candidates highly preferred but not required
