ABM is currently seeking a Housekeeping Manager who will play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, quality, and operational efficiency throughout the Housekeeping Department.

Your Role
Reporting to ABM Management and working closely with the Hotel Operations team, the Housekeeping Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all Housekeeping Department operations.
This individual ensures compliance with quality, cleanliness, and safety standards while effectively managing the department's human, material, and financial resources.
 
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise housekeeping team members.
  • Coach, develop, and evaluate supervisors, room attendants, and housekeeping aides.
  • Prepare employee schedules and manage vacations, statutory holidays, and operational staffing requirements.
  • Foster a respectful, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.
  • Promote continuous employee development through coaching and ongoing training.
 
Operations Management
  • Plan and coordinate the department's daily operations.
  • Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities meet established cleanliness standards.
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces.
  • Coordinate room priorities with the Front Office team.
  • Oversee inventories, equipment, and housekeeping supplies.
  • Monitor productivity and quality standards.
 
Guest Experience
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Work closely with the Front Office, Engineering, and other hotel departments.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns.
  • Contribute to delivering an outstanding guest experience.
 
Administrative Management
  • Monitor labour costs and departmental expenses.
  • Participate in periodic inventories.
  • Prepare required operational reports.
  • Ensure departmental budgets and performance objectives are achieved.
 
Health and Safety
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety policies.
  • Promote adherence to sanitation and hygiene procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental standards.
  • Train employees on safe work methods and proper use of equipment and cleaning products.
 
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Diploma in Hotel Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of management experience in hotel housekeeping.
  • Experience in a high-volume hotel environment.
  • Experience with an international hotel brand is considered an asset.

About the Assignment
The successful candidate will be employed by ABM Facility Services and will perform their duties at the Courtyard® & Residence Inn® Montréal Airport, working closely with the hotel's leadership team to ensure operational excellence within the Housekeeping Department.
