Job description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator / Production Lead to join our Second Shift team in our NEW fast-paced Depackaging/Recycling Center. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, or the ability to learn this equipment. You will be responsible for efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, unloading trucks, feeding a hopper, sorting incoming material, record keeping, and daily housekeeping of the facility. This role is crucial in ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely while adhering to OSHA regulations. Strong maintenance skills are desired. Organization, management, and documentation skills are preferred.

Duties
  • Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and process area.

  • Safely maneuver heavy loads through narrow aisles and around obstacles.

  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.

  • Assist with inventory management by accurately tracking incoming and outgoing shipments.

  • Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and clean work environment.

  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks associated with heavy equipment operation.

  • Maintain accurate record keeping.

  • Perform daily cleanup and housekeeping to ensure a safe work environment.
