Maintains the cleanliness of all services and hospital areas. Performs a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition for patients, staff, and visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training:

High school degree or equivalency or 10 years of housekeeping experience in hospitals, nursing homes, medical clinics, or educational institutions in lieu of education.

Experience:

One year of experience in housekeeping duties preferably in a hospital or other institutional setting.

Licensure/Certification:

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of sanitation and disinfection processes and techniques.
  • Ability to use equipment such as vacuum cleaner, steamer, trash compactor, carpet extractor, buffer, and burnisher machine.
