Avenir Behavioral Center is a 32-bed adult Behavioral Hospital that has been serving the Surprise Community and surrounding areas since May 2019. We strive to provide excellent patient care. POSITION TITLE: Housekeeping Associate

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-Time / Hourly / Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Director of Plant Operations

DEPARTMENT: Plant Operations / Environmental Services

Position Summary

The Part-Time Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, attractive, and comfortable environment throughout the hospital. This role performs routine housekeeping and laundry functions to support patient care and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance tasks across patient rooms, common areas, offices, and hallways as assigned.

  • Collect, sort, wash, fold, and distribute hospital linens and laundry in accordance with sanitary procedures.

  • Safely operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, tools, and cleaning chemicals (including proper dilution and handling).

  • Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control policies, regulatory standards (OSHA, local Health Department), and facility guidelines.

  • Promptly report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to the Director of Plant Operations.

Qualifications amp; RequirementsEducation amp; Experience
  • Education: High School

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months of housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred (hospitality or healthcare setting is a plus).

Knowledge, Skills, amp; Abilities
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Basic understanding of regulatory guidelines (OSHA, local Health Department regulations, Safety Data Sheets).
