Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is hiring a Yard Jockey / Shop Support team member to support our fleet maintenance operation in Washington Court House, OH. This role is ideal for candidates with yard jockey or Class A CDL experience pulling trailers who value safety, consistency, and teamwork.

Job Duties

  • Safely move and spot semi-trailers using a yard truck (yard horse)
  • Back trailers into service bays and staging areas
  • Wash trailers (interior and exterior) - This is the bulk of the job
  • Fuel equipment and assist with fleet support tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness of shop, wash bay, and fuel island
  • Operate forklifts and company vehicles
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with additional shop support duties as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 3+ years of experience as a Yard jockey (yard spotter, hostler) operating a yard dog/truck or Class A CDL semi driver pulling & backing trailers required
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully complete required training, including:
    • 40-hour Yard Truck Certification
    • Forklift Certification
  • Basic computer skills for work orders and time entry
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and motivated work style
