Job description

HighKey Agency is a digital PR and social media company specializing in building elite personal and brand presences in the aesthetic industry, from top-tier plastic surgeons to high-growth med spas.
We engineer content systems that drive visibility, inbound demand, and long-term brand equity at scale.
Our team moves fast, executes at a high level, and is obsessed with results. If you're looking to break into a high-performance agency environment, this is your entry point.
Position Overview
This role is for a hybrid long-form editor who can comfortably operate across multiple editing styles without losing pacing, structure, or retention.
We are specifically looking for someone who can handle BOTH:
  • Story-driven, narrative-style editing
  • Fast-paced, personality-driven YouTube/vlog content

This is extremely important for the role.
One project may require a more structured, cinematic, reality-style approach focused on storytelling and emotional payoff. Another may require a faster, more personality-led editing style built around energy, pacing, and retention.
The ideal candidate understands how to shift between both naturally.
We are not looking for purely cinematic editors, template-based TikTok editors, or basic podcast cutters.
You should be comfortable:
  • Turning raw footage into structured, engaging long-form content
  • Balancing storytelling with fast-paced viewer retention
  • Adapting across multiple content styles and tones
  • Using pacing, cutaways, music, sound design, and visual emphasis intentionally
  • Creating edits that feel dynamic, modern, and highly watchable

This role sits between narrative editing and high-performance YouTube editing.
Key Responsibilities
  • Edit long-form videos (8-15+ minutes)
  • Build strong pacing, narrative flow, and viewer engagement throughout edits
  • Structure content into compelling story arcs and sequences
  • Identify and emphasize key moments, reactions, and emotional beats
  • Use music, sound design, cutaways, graphics, and pattern interrupts intentionally
  • Adapt editing style depending on creator, brand, and content type
  • Collaborate with internal team to execute creative direction efficiently
  • Occasionally create short-form cutdowns from long-form content

What This Role Is Not
To be explicit, this role is not for:
  • Basic vlog editors
  • Short-form/TikTok-only editors
  • Purely cinematic filmmakers
  • Editors who rely heavily on templates or over-editing
  • Heavy VFX-only or motion graphics-only editors

We are looking for editors who understand how to make content perform while still telling a strong story.

Strong understanding of:
  • Viewer retention and YouTube pacing
  • Story structure and emotional payoff
  • Modern long-form editing trends

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
Ability to manage deadlines, receive feedback well, and communicate effectively.
Bonus
