Job description

Respiratory Therapist (RT) – Ventilator & Pediatric Units

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RT) – Ventilator & Pediatric Units
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Contract
Shifts: Evenings, Nights, and Weekends (8-hour and preferred 12-hour shifts available)
Pay: $45.00 to $55.00 Hourly
Job Description:

Seeking qualified Respiratory Therapists (RTs) to provide critical supplemental staffing for a 20-ventilator bed and 5 pediatric bed specialty unit. RTs manage the complex respiratory needs of a combined adult and pediatric resident census. Selected sta will be cross- trained to enable them to competently work across both units and assist based on clinical resident needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory therapy care and service in accordance with regulatory requirements, facility policies, and professional standards of practice.
  • Deliver specialized clinical care specific to adult ventilator patients, pediatric ventilated patients, and general pediatric patients.
  • Accompany residents to appointments on-site, in the community, and escort residents within the facility when medically necessary.
  • Cross-train to competently work with vent bed patients, pediatric ventilated patients, and pediatric patients.
  • Complete applicable mandatory facility in-service training sessions.
  • Use the facility badge and time clock to accurately log hours for each shift.

Requirements:

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license or professional credential.
  • Qualified by training and experience to work with ventilator, pediatric ventilator, and pediatric patients.
  • Must pass the facility's standard pre-employment screening process, including a criminal history record check.
