Applications will be accepted into this pool posting for School of Nursing Adjunct Faculty for the Athens campus BSN Program to fill positions as need arises for the 2026-2027 academic year.
These positions will have responsibilities that require the successful candidates to be on campus in Athens, OH or on site at clinical placement facilities located in southeast OH, central OH, and/or western WV. These positions are NOT remote teaching positions.

Job Description
Ohio University School of Nursing BSN program on the Athens, OH campus is seeking applications for individuals to serve as adjunct (part-time) faculty in various capacities as need arises for the 2026-2027 academic year (August - May). This includes, but is not limited to, clinical instructors and lab instructors. These individuals will provide instruction, supervision, guidance and counsel to undergraduate nursing students in relation to BSN program objectives and includes (1) planning and supervising student learning experiences; (2) evaluating student progress; (3) recording and reporting as required by the School of Nursing.
These positions will have responsibilities that require the successful candidates to be on campus in Athens, OH or on site at clinical placement facilities located in southeast OH, central OH, and/or western WV. These positions are NOT remote teaching positions.
Those who are hired as adjunct instructors for clinical supervision of students must agree to meet the requirements of the assigned clinical facility, including, but not limited to, proof of compliance for up-to-date immunizations/vaccines, clear FBI and BCI background checks, drug screen testing, meeting lifting requirements essential for standard nursing duties (approx. 50 lbs.).
The need for these positions is undetermined at this time and is dependent on operational need including enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting.
Minimum Qualifications
A nursing degree of BSN or higher is required by the start date of appointment.
Minimum of two years (24 months full time equivalent) of clinical nursing experience in the United States is required.
A current unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or the eligibility to obtain an unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
MSN degree is preferred.
