Job Description

As a Security Officer Gatehouse Driver in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer in a driving post. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents while supporting smooth daily operations. Bring strong customer service and communication skills to a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document arrivals, departures, and other access activity in accordance with post procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns, unusual activity, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, loading areas, and parking locations, as assigned, since working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining awareness of personnel, visitors, deliveries, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
