Job description

USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app

The Equine Facility at UNH depends on Stable Crew members to help care for our herd of 30+ horses. On-the-Job training is provided for all duties and advancement opportunities are available. 30-40 hrs. per week through the summer break.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Mucking Stalls and Paddocks

  • Hauling and Stacking Hay

  • Basic Horse Handling and Care

  • Sweeping Floors and Cleaning Equipment

  • Basic Herd Feeding Duties

  • Summer facility maintenance

Training Available for Advancement Opportunities include the following:

  • Vehicle Driving Clearance and Operation

  • Advanced Horse Handling and Grooming

  • Advanced Herd Care and Basic Medical Care

  • Leadership Opportunities for Tier 3 Staff Members.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Some knowledge and experience working with horses helpful but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Horse handling experience.
