About the Position:
Phoenix School of Massage is seeking a part-time SEO and Local Search Specialist to improve our Google rankings, organic traffic, local search visibility, and student inquiries.

We prefer someone located in the Houston area who can become familiar with our school, programs, students, and local market. Remote candidates with strong qualifications may also be considered.

This is primarily an SEO position, not a social media position.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Optimize website pages for Google search.
  • Monitor and improve Google Search Console performance.
  • Correct indexing and technical SEO issues.
  • Improve titles, headings, keywords, internal links, and on-page SEO.
  • Optimize Google Business Profile and local Houston SEO.
  • Review and implement schema markup.
  • Track rankings, traffic, calls, and student inquiries.
  • Recommend ongoing SEO improvements.

Required Experience:
Applicants should have working experience with:
  • SEO and Local SEO.
  • Google Search Console and GA4.
  • WordPress.
  • Rank Math or similar SEO tools.
  • Keyword research and on-page SEO.
  • Technical SEO and indexing.
  • Google Business Profile.
  • Schema and internal linking.

Experience with schools, education, healthcare, wellness, or local service businesses is a plus.

What We Are Looking For:
We want someone who can identify SEO problems, make or recommend the necessary corrections, and measure the results.

Our goal is not simply more website traffic. We want more qualified prospective students finding Phoenix School of Massage through Google and taking action, including calling the school and scheduling school tours.

Work-Scholarship Opportunity:
A work-scholarship arrangement may also be available for a qualified individual who is interested in attending the Phoenix School of Massage Massage Therapy Program while assisting the school with SEO and digital optimization.

Details would be discussed based on qualifications, work schedule, and program eligibility.

How to Apply:
Please provide:
  1. A short description of your SEO experience.
  2. Two or three websites you have worked on.
  3. Examples of SEO results you have achieved.
  4. Your experience with WordPress, Google Search Console, Rank Math, and Local SEO.
  5. Your hourly rate and part-time availability.
  6. Whether you are located in the Houston area.

Please also answer this question:
Our website receives approximately 300 organic Google clicks per month but relatively few calls or student inquiries. What are the first three things you would investigate?

Please review MassageSchoolHTX.com before applying and identify one SEO improvement or opportunity you notice.
