COMPETITIVE 1099 OPPORTUNITY for a Licensed Registered Nurse!
1st Choice is seeking Licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Nurse Monitoring Team supporting participants in Baltimore City, MD.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
As a Nurse Monitor, you will conduct in-home visits and oversee care plan implementation to ensure appropriate levels of care for functionally and chronically disabled adults.
In this role, you will:
• Conduct in-home participant visits and complete required Nurse Monitor Assessments
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing and personal care services and recommend revisions as needed
• Identify service needs and reportable events in accordance with program guidelines
• Coordinate care by referring participants to appropriate resources and collaborating with providers
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation to support compliance and program outcomes
• Independently manage, organize, and coordinate your weekly visit schedule to meet productivity and program expectations

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (med-surg, geriatric, pediatric, or case management)
• Required: Prior community-based and/or home health experience
• Strong time management, organization, and self-direction skills with the ability to manage a field-based schedule independently
• Ability to prioritize multiple visits, documentation deadlines, and participant needs effectively
• Must pass a background investigation

AVAILABILITY & PRODUCTIVITY EXPECTATIONS
• Minimum availability: 3 full business days per week (Monday–Friday, standard business hours)
• Minimum productivity requirement: 15 completed participant visits per week
• Must maintain consistent availability to support scheduling and participant needs

COMPENSATION, PAY STRUCTURE & SCHEDULING FLEXIBILITY
• 1099 independent contractor role
• Compensation is based on actual billable time worked, not fixed hourly shifts
• Paid for approved activities including visits, documentation, and authorized care coordination
• Payment is calculated to the exact time spent completing billable tasks
Scheduling Flexibility with Accountability:
This role offers the flexibility to manage your own schedule and route visits independently. Success in this role requires strong time management and organizational skills to meet weekly visit expectations, maintain consistent availability, and ensure timely completion of all required activities.
Candidates must provide:

  • TB Screening (within past 12 months – skin test or Quantiferon; chest X-ray if positive)
  • Influenza Vaccination Attestation or Proof (current season; exemption documentation if declined)
  • CPR Certification (valid and current)

This position requires the use of your personal laptop/computer that meets the following minimum specifications for secure and efficient work:

  • OS: Windows 10 or 11 Pro
  • Display: 14" or larger (1366×768 minimum)

  • Webcam & Microphone: Required for virtual meetings
