Job description

Amyx is looking for an experienced Sr. Deputy Program Manager to oversee and lead a large executive-level Program Management Office (PMO) contract in support of a US government client’s mission.


In this role the ideal candidate will provide leadership and guidance to a team in ways that promote the client’s mission. The ideal candidate must be an excellent leader and have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner.  The position will lead a team of over 70 individuals to develop strategies and plans to direct activities by best practices and frameworks in support of the client’s strategic direction. 


Required:

  • Master of Arts or Master of Science (MA/MS) degree with 10 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of experience.
  • Experience managing an executive-level PMO and leading teams working in a fast-paced environment with Sr. client executives and private, state, local, tribal, and federal sector stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and implementing process methodologies at an agency’s executive-level strategic programs.
  • Possess and retain a Top Secret (TS) clearance with the ability to attain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience in Program Management best practices which includes experience/knowledge/skills/abilities with all the following:
    • Providing strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff.
    • Providing detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance effort is for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues.
    • Consulting with clients to define needs or problems and supervising studies and conducting surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
    • Demonstrating an ability to manage a large, matrixed, and remote workforce – especially- if the contract includes sub-contract agreements.
    • Experience with SharePoint administration and program development tools as well as competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Project, etc.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI®) Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar private sector or government certification.
