We are seeking a Project Manager / Task Lead to support the Internal Revenue Service's (IRS) Criminal Investigations (CI) Client Management Support Services (CMSS) & U.S. Windows Client OS Support and Onsite Services contract at the IRS Headquarters in Washington, DC.

So, what will the Project Manager / Task Lead at Terrestris do?

The Project Manager / Task Lead is responsible for leading and managing technology projects that support the IRS's desktop, endpoint, and user-support environments. You will oversee the planning, coordination, deployment, and delivery of IT initiatives while ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals.You will also serve as the primary point of contact between the government and the contractor, managing contract performance, staffing, deliverables, and stakeholder communication. In addition, you will leads project meetings, track project risks and issues, prepare management reports and briefings, and ensure a smooth transition during the implementation, operation, and completion of technology projects.

What does a typical day look like for a Project Manager / Task Lead?

You will:

  • Overall planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of endpoint engineering and deployment initiatives.
  • Contract management; primary interface with government POCs; manage deliverables, staffing, and performance.
  • Provide continuous project management support for User Support programs and projects.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget; gather requirements and use cases.
  • Maintain work breakdown structures (WBS) and project schedules.
  • Lead/coordinate Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetings; track risks, issues, and action items.
  • Prepare project-management documents and stakeholder briefings; publish agendas/meeting notes.
  • Maintain alignment with the Tech Ops PPPM initiative.
  • Support transition-in, steady-state operations, and required transition planning/transition-out activities.

Whatqualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:

  • Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure or endpoint-management projects, including at least 3 years supporting Microsoft enterprise technologies such as Intune, Windows 11, or Microsoft 365 in large-scale environments.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing project schedules, risks, deployments, and operational transitions.
  • PMP, CAPM, ITIL Foundation, PMI-ACP, or equivalent industry-recognized project-management certification(s).
  • Must undergo a High-Risk Background Investigation and complete a 7-panel drug screening.
