About the Team

The Washington INCLUDE Collaborative operates within the Clinical Training Unit (CTU), which is part of the UW Institute on Human Development and Disability (IHDD). The mission of the Washington INCLUDE Collaborative is to enhance care and quality of life for individuals and families affected by autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) across Washington State. Our work centers on building workforce capacity to support these individuals in their home communities.

The UW Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) Program provides statewide training for healthcare providers by fostering community and expanding knowledge. Using a "hub and spoke" model, hub team members share expertise based on professional training and/or lived experience, while spoke members-community-based providers-present de-identified cases for collaborative discussion. This "all teach, all learn" approach builds provider confidence and strengthens statewide networks of care.
