TITLE – POWERBI DEVELOPER

LOCATION – JACKSON-MS - REMOTE

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in prototyping, designing, developing, and publishing Power BI reports. This role requires a deep understanding of Power BI Data models, report creation, and visualization best practices. The candidate will be responsible for implementing security measures in reports and dashboards, integrating dashboards into applications using Power BI Embedded, and collaborating with Business Analysts to gather business requirements for analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and publish Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Develop Power BI Data models and recommend best practices for report creation and visualizations.
- Implement security in reports and dashboards in accordance with security and access requirements.
- Integrate dashboards into applications using Power BI Embedded.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to gather and understand business requirements for analytics and reporting.
- Provide guidance and conduct code reviews for BI team members.
- Troubleshoot reporting issues and optimize report performance.
- Create and modify database tables and views, and optimize SQL queries.
- Ensure adherence to agile/scrum practices during the development process.
- Evaluate self-service reporting and dashboard tools.
- Estimate work content and achieve planned timelines.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effectively multi-task between projects.
- Work independently and cooperatively as part of a team.
- Possess analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Extensive experience in business analytics tools for developing reporting and dashboards.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including M Query, DAX, Data Modelling, and Row Level Security.
- Strong SQL query writing skills, preferably with SQL Server.
- Analytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and graphics.
- Understanding of implementing solutions with multiple data sources.
- Experience working with Agile methodology.
- Self-starter who can quickly acclimate to a dynamic environment.
- Strong foundational knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform, including Exchange, Azure AD, and the Azure ecosystem.
- Understanding of security concepts, including access control and data security.
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification.
