Job description

Herrmann Construction Company, a growing residential and light-commercial concrete contractor, is looking for hardworking and reliable General Laborers to join our crew. As a Laborer, you’ll assist in all phases of concrete construction — from jobsite prep to clean-up — while learning the trade and building a path to advancement.

Compensation:

$20 - $25 hourly


Responsibilities:

Jobsite Prep & Support

  • Assist with excavation, grading, and jobsite preparation
  • Carry and stage materials (rebar, mesh, lumber, tools)
  • Set and strip forms under supervision
  • Help with placement of reinforcement (rebar, wire mesh)
  • Assist with concrete pours (shoveling, raking, vibrating)

General Labor

  • Operate hand tools and small equipment safely
  • Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and safe
  • Load/unload trucks with materials and equipment
  • Follow instructions from Foreman and Finishers to support the crew

Teamwork & Growth

  • Work closely with crew members to complete jobs efficiently
  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude on every site
  • Show initiative to learn finishing and foreman-level skills over time

Qualifications:

Requirements

  • Construction or labor experience preferred, but not required — we will train
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn concrete trade skills
  • Ability to lift 50–100 lbs, bend, dig, and stand for long periods
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites
  • Safety-first mindset and ability to follow directions
