What this role is all about


The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. The Room Attendant plays an essential role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for every guest while maintaining the hotel's high standards of service and presentation.

What you'll be doing

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms in accordance with hotel standards and established productivity requirements.
  • Make beds, change linens, dust furniture, vacuum carpets, and clean bathrooms.
  • Replenish towels, linens, toiletries, and other guest-room supplies.
  • Report damaged items, safety hazards, maintenance needs, and unusual room conditions promptly.
  • Respond courteously and professionally to reasonable guest requests.
  • Maintain the security of assigned keys and follow all key-control procedures.
  • Properly handle lost-and-found items in accordance with hotel policy.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain housekeeping carts and assigned work areas.
  • Follow safety, sanitation, chemical-handling, and infection-prevention procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Housekeeping leadership and other hotel departments.
  • Perform other job-related duties consistent with the position and the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous hotel housekeeping or professional cleaning experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within established timeframes.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety instructions and hotel procedures.
  • Physical Requirements
  • The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movement. The Room Attendant must be able to move housekeeping carts and lift or carry items necessary to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

    Compensation and Benefits

    This is a Local 2 union-represented position with an hourly wage of $33.76. The position is eligible for union benefits and other terms and conditions of employment in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.


Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information

Hourly rate is from $32.76 to $33.76 Pay rate outlined follows contract requirements.

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
