What is an hourly rate?

An hourly rate is the amount of money a worker earns for each hour of work performed. It is commonly used for part-time, temporary, or contract positions where employees are paid based on the number of hours they work, rather than receiving a fixed annual salary. The hourly rate can vary depending on the job, the worker's experience, and the industry. Employers may also be required to pay overtime rates if employees work more than a specified number of hours per week.

It's important to communicate availability clearly with employers and utilize scheduling tools to stay organized. Additionally, understanding labor laws regarding breaks, overtime, and shift change notice can help ensure fair treatment and prevent misunderstandings.
