Job Responsibilities:
* Install and configure PostgreSQL database servers on-premises.
* Optimize database configuration settings for performance and reliability.
* Monitor database performance and resource usage.
* Identify bottlenecks and implement performance tuning measures.
* Use tools and scripts to analyze query performance and recommend optimizations.
* Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
* Regularly review and update security policies and protocols.
* Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime.
* Collaborate with developers and application teams to design efficient database schemas.
* Ensure normalization and indexing strategies are applied for optimal data retrieval.
