Position Overview
The Learning & Development Projects (L&DP) at the Silberman School of Social Work manages and administers a diverse portfolio of grants, contracts, and professional development initiatives funded through federal, state, local, and private sources.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Finance Administrator to support the financial and operational functions of the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Administration, the Finance Administrator will assist with fiscal management, financial reporting, contract administration, event logistics, and administrative operations to ensure the successful implementation of project goals, contractual deliverables, and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the administration and monitoring of grant and contract budgets.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update financial records, spreadsheets, and tracking systems.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze fiscal data, budget information, and expenditure reports.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, reimbursement requests, and related documentation.
  • Establish and maintain accurate recordkeeping systems and procedures while ensuring the security and confidentiality of financial and personnel information.
  • Coordinate logistical arrangements for trainings, conferences, meetings, and special events, including identifying and securing venues, negotiating with vendors, and managing event-related documentation.
  • Collaborate with trainers, consultants, participants, vendors, and project staff to ensure the successful execution of contractual deliverables and program activities.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from staff, trainers, vendors, participants, and external stakeholders.
  • Support administrative and operational processes related to project implementation and organizational effectiveness.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a financial, accounting, administrative, or business environment.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial recordkeeping, and budget tracking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and the ability to learn and utilize new software applications and technology platforms.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, trainings, conferences, or large-scale events is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
