Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior IT Specialist – Network to support a long-term Department of Defense program providing IT and cybersecurity services to the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN). This individual will provide Tier 2/3 network support for mission-critical Marine Corps infrastructure. This position is onsite at the Pentagon and requires an active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities for the Senior IT Specialist – Network Include:
  • Provide Tier 2/3 troubleshooting and operational support for enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and networking equipment.
  • Troubleshoot IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, and routing protocols.
  • Support network upgrades, installations, integrations, and performance optimization.
  • Diagnose complex network connectivity and performance issues and drive incidents through resolution.
  • Support enterprise network availability while coordinating with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams.
Qualifications for the Senior IT Specialist – Network Include:
  • 7–10+ years of IT experience with a strong focus on enterprise networking.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, and network infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, EIGRP, and BGP.
  • Experience providing Tier 2/3 network troubleshooting and operational support.
  • CCNA required; CCNP highly preferred.
  • IAT Level III certification required.
  • Active Top Secret clearance required.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Marine Corps, Navy, or other federal network environments preferred.
