Job description

Wood Systems, a subsidiary of Mill Creek Lumber and Supply Company, is a leading provider of custom wood products for the construction industry. With a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, we have been delivering exceptional products and services for decades. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and safety conscious Non CDL Driver with warehouse/shipping experience to add to our team. As a vital member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for safely delivering custom millwork, managing the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficient operations.

Position Summary:
This dual-role position is responsible for  shipping and receiving, and performing general warehouse duties. This candidate will also perform daily deliveries as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse / Shipping & Receiving Duties:

  • Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials and products.
  • Pick and stage materials for outbound shipments or deliveries.
  • Assist in inventory control, including cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided if needed).
  • Loading deliveries as scheduled.
  • Daily delivery, as needed, of finished goods and assisting the installation team with unloading and offloading materials.

Required Qualifications:

  • Driver must be 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license &  clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or driving experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to safely operate trucks, vans, or other vehicles that do not require CDL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery.
  • Familiarity with building materials or wood products.
