Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Side Frame Welder to join our skilled manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for performing specialized welding work on the side frames of our industrial air cooling equipment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and flux-core welding on industrial side frames and components
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately position and weld parts
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
- Maintain welding equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to identify and implement process improvements
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience as a Sideframe Welder, with proficiency in MIG and flux-core welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious manufacturing environment
Preferred:
- Welding certification or training
- Experience in the HVAC or industrial equipment manufacturing industry
Working Conditions
This position will be based in our Chicago, IL manufacturing facility. The work environment involves exposure to typical industrial hazards, such as loud noise, fumes, and moving machinery. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with frequent overtime as needed.
