Assumption Catholic School is seeking a part-time Extended Day Program Director to fulfill the administrative and staffing needs of the after-school program serving students in grades Kindergarten to Grade 8. The Director is responsible for providing an appropriately safe, caring, and enriching environment for the students enrolled in the program, which is supportive of the school's mission statement.
This is for the 2026-2027 school year. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
Job Description:
  • Responsible for hiring and managing all Extended Day Program Staff, in addition to administrative duties such as timekeeping, reports, and timesheets
  • Maintains an environment that promotes cooperation, learning, and enjoyment
  • Assist students on nightly homework and provide an environment of cooperative relationships within grade levels during outdoor play.
  • Compile attendance data for tracking and billing in coordination with the bookkeeper
  • Assumes responsibility for overseeing student behavior in all environments after school
  • Keep student files of attendance records
  • Light cleaning
  • Create a line of communication with the parents, teachers, and principal
  • Reports to: Elementary Principal

Hours of Duty:
2:50pm-6:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Occasional Early Release Days 11:30-6:00pm.
The school year goes from late August to mid-June. (No workdays in the summer months or during school breaks)
Rate of Pay: Hourly rate range is $22-$25 per hour. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications. Benefits are not included for fewer than .75 FTE, or 30 hours per week.
Qualifications: (Only qualified applicants will be reviewed.)
  • Experience in a classroom is preferred (i.e. paraprofessional, teacher's aide, classroom teacher)
  • Ability to manage large and small groups of children- up to 25 at one time
  • Supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to relate to staff, parents, and the children in a positive manner
  • Prior experience in a related position working with children
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (certification will be provided if needed)
  • Background Check and VIRTUS course (Provided upon hire)
  • Practicing Catholic preferred

Start Date: Fall 2026- August 27th will be the start of EDP and prior trainings/orientation will be determined between the principal and the applicant.
