Position Overview:
At AGI Industries, service technicians are responsible for repairing and servicing machinery under supervision, or after consultation, with a direct supervisor. **potential for offshore assignments once qualified**

Requirements
Who You Are:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • 1-2 years of mechanical experience with knowledge of rotating and alignment equipment
  • Attain vendor certifications as needed
  • Ability to follow direction and perform tasks with minimal supervision
  • Keen attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic drawing and diagrams.
  • Good mathematical understanding
  • Ability to utilize basic hand tools and air tools
  • Ability to operate laser alignment tools, power tools, and fork lifts.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry between 10# and 100#
  • Occasionally push and/or pull 30# of force
  • Frequent use of fine and gross hand manipulation

Key Responsibilities:
  • Disassemble and evaluate pump as assigned.
  • Assemble and Test pumps as assigned.
  • Remove and install pumps in the field.
  • Rebuild the pump in the field.
  • Assist customer with starting the new pump.
  • Perform equipment alignment.
  • Write a complete and thorough parts list when disassembling a pump to assist in the appropriate personnel with pricing and quoting the repair.
  • Decide course of action based on precision measurements (i.e., micrometers/indicators)
  • Aid in field repair of equipment as needed.
  • Utilize technical drawings and references to disassemble and reassemble equipment.
  • Perform daily inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working and safe operating status
