Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our 2nd shift team. In this role, you will perform high-precision welds on a variety of metals, working from technical drawings and using advanced tools and machinery. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
•    Perform TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components
•    Interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
•    Inspect and test welds to ensure compliance with quality standards
•    Operate shop tools including grinders, cutters, and drills
•    Maintain welding equipment and perform routine maintenance
•    Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment
•    Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control teams
•    Perform rework, repair, and custom fabrication as needed
•    Document materials used and progress on assigned tasks
Requirements
•    2+ years of TIG welding experience in a machine shop or industrial environment
•    Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding welding symbols
•    Experience working with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
•    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
•    Familiarity with common fabrication tools and shop equipment
•    Knowledge of welding safety practices and OSHA standards
•    Team-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
•    AWS certification (or equivalent) in TIG/MIG welding
•    Experience with CNC welding equipment or automated systems
•    Background in pipe fitting or exotic metal fabrication
•    Prior experience with GMAW and GTAW processes
