Search & Comparison IntentEntry-level, no experience, hourly rolesEntry-level network support, troubleshooting

Both roles are entry-level positions requiring similar certifications and work environments. The main difference is that 'Network Technician' is a more established job title, often with slightly more hands-on troubleshooting responsibilities, while 'Hourly Network Engineer No Experience' emphasizes an hourly wage and lack of prior experience. Both serve as stepping stones into network careers.

Can I become a hourly network engineer without experience?

Hourly network engineer roles typically require some technical knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and tools. While entry-level positions may be available, gaining certifications like CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA can improve chances, and hands-on experience through internships or labs is often beneficial. Most employers prefer candidates with some foundational skills, but entry-level opportunities do exist for those willing to learn and obtain relevant certifications.
