The NERF Instructor will lead highenergy NERF programs designed to promote active play, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. This role centers on creating a safe, structured, and engaging environment where participants can learn, have fun, and build confidence. Strong classroom management, quick problemsolving, and resourcefulness is key to success in this position.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Lead and adapt NERF activities while maintaining a safe, structured, and positive environment, using strong classroommanagement skills to guide behavior and keep participants engaged.
  • Set up play areas, prepare and monitor equipment, communicate rules, and provide clear guidance throughout the program.
  • Facilitate games that promote teamwork, problemsolving, and fair play, adjusting activities as needed based on group dynamics or space.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues quickly, oversee participant flow and basic program logistics, and ensure safety protocols—including protective gear—are consistently followed.
  • Foster a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere and assist with cleanup, equipment organization, and simple program evaluation.
  • Hourly Pay:  $14 - $18 based on qualifications/experience.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing event dynamics.
  • Enthusiasm for creating enjoyable experiences for participants.
  • Basic knowledge of recreational activities and planning.
  • Physical stamina to set up and move event equipment as needed.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds. 
  • Ability to maintain professional work-related practices including safety, alertness, dependability, responsibility, initiative, good judgment, cleanliness, and ability to work with ages 6-14 years old.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Criminal background check required.
