Job description

Salary: Hourly DOE

This position is responsible for the operation of any and all CDL vehicles in the Environmental division. These vehicles are responsible for delivering equipment and materials including permitted loads and non-permitted loads. The heavy haul/lowboy driver should expect to regularly traverse narrow township roads and access roads for customers located in rural areas throughout the OH/PA/WV/IN/MI area. This position will require frequent travel and flexible scheduling due to project equipment needs.


Daily Job Activities:

  • Ensure the accurate and on time delivery of materials and equipment
  • Safely drive and haul equipment, lowboy trailers, and trucks to job sites as needed
  • Safely unload and load equipment and materials
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs and paperwork
  • Communicate and collaborate with supervisors to schedule routes
  • Maintains trucks and equipment including but not limited to cleanliness, greasing, washing, and loading and unloading.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 1-3 years experience in heavy haul/lowboy operations
  • Knowledge of DOT and OSHA rules and regulations
  • High School Diploma or GED


Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 23+ years old
  • Class A CDL with no restrictions
  • Ability to operate compound transmission
  • Verifiable driving history
  • No DOT-recordable/preventable accidents in past 36 months
  • No serious violations in past 36 months including but not limited to positive drug/alcohol result/usage, reckless driving or careless endangerment
  • No OVI/DUI within the past 5 years
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Able to perform physical requirements of the position including frequent bending, moving, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to chain loads and hook up rigging as needed.
