Job description

Rayonier is seeking applicants to fill a Shipping Forklift position at the Gwinn Lumber Mill. The Shipping Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating shipping forklifts to control and manage mill output/finished product and load output product on to flatbed semi-trailer and rail cars.
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $‎25.39.
Schedule
  • Typically, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
  • Shifts rotate every two weeks from days to afternoons:
    • Nights – Monday – Thursday 2:00 P.M. – 10:30 P.M.
    • Friday 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.
    • Days – Monday – Thursday 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M.
  • Shift differential is $1.50 more per hour, for hours worked between 4:00pm - 7:00am.
Production & Quality
  • Responsible for staging and positioning pallets in the yard to manage mill output and for shipping, loading trucks and rail cars.
  • Ensures all loads are safely distributed, loaded, and secured properly.
  • Ensure all tracking and shipping labels are attached properly and verified for correct shipping and loading.
  • Monitors and facilitates proper maintenance and functionality of forklifts.
Safety & Environmental
  • Operates all equipment in a safe manner and maintains a clean work area.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A good attendance, work, and safety record.
  • Basic understanding of computers and window-based programs.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
