Job description

**PAY RAISES GIVEN DURING TEMP TO HIRE TIME**

Position Summary

This position assembles components for automatic doors including hardware, controls, and other items as instructed.

Essential Functions

• Must be able to read and follow specific work instructions using work orders, drawings, samples, etc.

• Must be able to set up, operate, maintain, and adjust miscellaneous light machines and hand tools.

• Must be able to learn cross-training of other types of assembly jobs.

• Clean and arrange workstation to maintain efficient work flow

• Perform any other related work duties as required

• Understand and follow Kanban System instructions.

• Utilize ERP system for printing work orders, accessing schedules, etc.

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Must be able to read and follow work instructions, prints and understand measuring equipment such as tape measures,

scales, and their decimals/fractions.

• Must be dependable, responsible, and have a can-do attitude.

• Ability to follow instructions from the Line Supervisor and others.

• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols applications.

Education, Training, Experience

• High school diploma or GED is required

• Prior light assembly experience desired

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Work is performed in a factory with exposure to conditions including; noisy, dusty, and dirty environments; and

motorized equipment that pose potential safety hazards. Long periods of standing, as well as regularly walking, sitting,

lifting, reaching, and bending, are required. Regularly lifting up to 50 lbs is required. Proper safety procedures, lifting

techniques, and personal protective equipment are always required. This position may require extended hours and

overtime depending on business needs.
