RN Case Manager – Acute Care

Gainesville, FL | Full-Time | Day & Evening Shifts Available Up to $15K Sign-On Bonus + Shift Differentials + Relocation Assistance

About the Opportunity

She Recruits is seeking a dedicated and detail-driven Case Management RN on behalf of a top-tier hospital in Gainesville, FL. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' continuity of care by coordinating care plans, discharge processes, and utilization reviews within a high-performing acute care environment.

This is not a desk job—this is a fast-paced, dynamic role for nurses who are proactive, organized, and passionate about facilitating exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patient status, needs, and discharge readiness
  • Collaborate with providers, insurance companies, and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate appropriate care transitions
  • Evaluate clinical necessity and level of care; use decision-support tools such as InterQual
  • Educate patients and families about discharge planning, community resources, and next-level care
  • Manage concurrent reviews and insurance authorizations; escalate and appeal denials as needed
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in MIDAS and related platforms
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) rounds and maintain strong communication across departments
Qualifications
  • Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license (required within 60 days of relocation if applicable)

  • Minimum 3 years RN experience in acute care (ICU, Med-Surg strongly preferred)

  • Prior Case Management or Utilization Review experience in acute care or LTAC setting highly preferred

  • BSN preferred; ADN or Nursing Diploma required

  • BLS certification (AHA) required within 30 days of hire

  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) or similar credential preferred but not required

  • Must be self-directed, adaptable, highly organized, and effective at multitasking in a busy environment

Compensation & Perks
  • Hourly Pay Range: $32 – $46 (based on experience)

  • Shift Differentials:

    • Evening shift: +$2.00/hour

    • Weekend shift: +$2.00/hour

  • Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000

  • Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

Available Shifts
  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Rotating Weekends)

  • Evening Shift: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM (or 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM), Monday–Friday, No Weekends
