Responsibilities

The School of Management at New York Institute of Technology (Long Island campus) seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Operations Management and Management Science courses in person at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Teaching responsibilities include topics such as:

  • Linear and integer programming
  • Nonlinear optimization
  • Decision analysis
  • Queuing theory
  • Process analysis and operational decision-making
  • Quality and inventory management

While the courses center on traditional OM/MS content, the instructor is expected to incorporate modern AI-enabled decision tools (e.g., Generative AI for modeling explanation, algorithmic exploration, scenario analysis) to enrich student learning and demonstrate contemporary applications.

Qualifications

M.S., MBA, Ph.D., or equivalent degree in Operations Management, Management Science, Industrial Engineering, Analytics, or a related discipline. ABD candidates will be considered. 

Preferred: Experience applying OM/MS techniques to real-world problems and comfort integrating AI tools to support teaching and decision-making contexts.

Additional Requirements:

Must be available to teach in person on weekdays (daytime and evening) at the Long Island campus.
