Position: Drier Maintenance & Material Handler (Injection Molding)
Summary: 
The Drier Maintenance & Materials Handler (Injection Molding) position is responsible for the movement of raw and finished materials to and from the workstations for each job. This position assures that material dryers, loaders and other material handling equipment are thoroughly cleaned, operational and available for use.  In addition, the Materials Handler keeps the Injection Molding area clean and free from contamination and damage.  The Material Handler will assist in maintenance, set-ups and operating the machines as required. It also requires the ability to work independently, adhere to strict safety ISO and OSHA guidelines, maintain a clean work area and keep all molds/equipment in good, working condition.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Provide the raw material for each injection molding machine.  Properly recording the usage in Visual.
  • Keeps all material and ancillary equipment clean and free of contamination and damage.
  • Assures all hoppers, dryers and other material handling equipment are available and operational.
  • Regular maintenance of hoppers and dryers (filters, heaters, etc.)
  • Reads and interprets work orders to determine the type and quantity of material needed.
  • Perform incoming material inspections (pellet contamination), work with IMP Engineers on inspection plans.
  • Return all material back to the stockroom and properly record it in Visual.
  • Assist in the set-up and maintenance of any machine as requested.
  • Material handling and set-up of the Preform machines
  • Operate and run an injection molding machine as requested.
  • Assist in resolving any inventory discrepancies.
  • Provide support to the Maintenance Department as requested.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Conduct yourself in an ethical and professional manner and demonstrate Tri-Mack Values: Respect, Teamwork, Integrity, Accountability and Durability
  • Adhere to all ISO, OSHA, and AS9100 requirements as specified in work instructions and by your supervisor.
  • All other assigned duties by the Molding Manager
Education, Skills & Experience:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is required; comfortable with hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of standard OSHA regulations.
  • Physical ability to properly move molds and other equipment as needed, to lift 40 pounds and stand for a long period of time.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an injection molding environment required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is required, comfortable with hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of standard OSHA regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • General math knowledge and ability to calculate and solve certain geometric problems.
  • Ability to use and understand all measuring tools.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to get along with and support others on your team.
  • Show up on time and work your scheduled hours.
