Westfield Country Club is excited to announce the seasonal job opportunity of Golf Course Food and Beverage Guest Attendant and Event Server. This position is a dual role at the club, offering the outdoor beauty of serving food and drinks on the golf course from concession-style comfort stations and pairing it with the extra hours and stability of working banquet events.

Starting at $12.50 per hour plus tips.

Job Summary

The Golf Course Food and Beverage Guest Attendant provide alcoholic, non-alcoholic, packaged, and prepared food items at the golf course comfort stations for golfers at Westfield Country Club. Comfort stations are small, climate controlled, concession-style buildings throughout the club's two championship golf courses and include the service window in the clubhouse. Please note that Westfield Country Club does NOT regularly use a beverage cart.

Duties include greeting guests in a friendly, courteous manner, handling drinks, and serving food items requested from the menu. Attendants will operate point of sales systems, collect payment for services, and conduct daily inventory to keep their station stocked.

Guest Attendants will also work shifts as Event Servers at Westfield Country Club at functions on the course and in the clubhouse. Event servers will serve food and beverages during banquets and events, may assist with setup and cleanup of event spaces, and may provide other event support and hospitality services. 
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Greets guests in a friendly and professional manner, provides a warm welcome, and attends to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Follows established safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and property.
  • Serves alcoholic, non-alcoholic, packaged, and prepared foods to guests and members at the Country Club through various outlets, including the golf course comfort stations, clubhouse walkup window, and event venues.
  • Takes food and beverage orders using a point of sales system, handles payment transactions, and maintains daily inventory records.
  • Checks the identification of guests requesting alcohol to verify their age using a valid photo ID.
  • Maintains clean and sanitized workstations throughout the shift, following proper hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Monitors the alcohol intake of guests and takes the necessary steps to avoid excessive alcohol consumption and overserving of guests in accordance to Serve Safe trainings.
  • Assists in the setup, refilling, and removal of event food stations and event bars.
  • Assists in the serving and bussing of plated items to seated guests at events.
  • Assists in the setup and breakdown of event spaces, seating, and supplies.
  • Complies with all OSHA and Westfield safety/training/certification standards within required timeframes.
  • Regular operation of golf carts and/or other maintenance vehicles.

Job Qualifications

  • 0 - 2 years of experience in customer service and cash handling.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. Ohio law (ORC 4301.22) requires employees attain a minimum age of 18 years to serve alcohol and 21 years to pour alcohol. 
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds.
