Dynamic law office in Lansing seeks an experienced, detail-oriented, highly organized, self-directed person who can take on the role of Administrative Assistant Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. You should be able to demonstrate good judgment, confidentiality is a must as you will be privy to private client information, and the ability to prioritize your activities with minimal supervision and coordinate cheerfully with your fellow team members. Professional appearance and attitude are a must. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm. Responsibilities: • Answering phone calls in a polite and professional manner • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records • Organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary • Welcoming visitors and identifying the purpose of their visit before directing them to the appropriate department • Managing the executive’s calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters • Wash and fill the Executive’s vehicle when needed • Book a hotel, flights, and register executive for conferences • Order supplies when necessary • Review and sort mail • Answer phone, transfer calls, or take messages • Scan and organize documents • Keep the office clean and stocked, take out trash and recycling • Contribute to the event planning team (holiday party) and assemble gift baskets periodically • Run errands for the Firm • Mail newsletters Qualifications: • Time management and the ability to meet deadlines • Ability to keep sensitive information confidential • Verbal and written communication skills • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask, problem-solving, and decision-making • Proactivity and self-direction • Interpersonal skills Compensation: $17 - $20 hourly
