Job description

Client Overview:
Our client is a confidential ambulatory surgery center located in the North Brunswick, NJ area, providing high-quality outpatient surgical and diagnostic services in a patient-centered, team-based environment. They are currently looking to add a Per Diem Fluoroscopy/Radiology Technician to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$48/hr - $60/hr DOE
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Per Diem Fluoroscopy/Radiology Technician to provide imaging support during diagnostic and interventional procedures. This role is responsible for operating fluoroscopy equipment, assisting physicians during procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining strict radiation safety standards in an outpatient surgical setting.
Schedule is Tuesdays with a 7:00 AM start time. Shift length may vary and can extend approximately 8 - 11 hours depending on surgical volume.
Responsibilities for Per Diem Fluoroscopy/Radiology Technician:
  • Operate C-arm and fluoroscopy equipment to obtain real-time imaging during procedures.
  • Assist physicians with fluoroscopy-guided procedures such as pain management injections and arthrograms.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain exams, and ensure comfort and safety.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images.
  • Adhere to ALARA radiation safety principles and ensure proper shielding for all persons in the room.
  • Verify all equipment is functioning properly before use.
  • Clean, disinfect, and perform routine quality control checks on imaging equipment.
  • Accurately document procedures and imaging data per policy.
  • Follow aseptic technique and infection-control protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure necessary supplies are available.
  • Communicate patient status and procedural information to the care team.
Required Experience/Skills for the Per Diem Fluoroscopy/Radiology Technician:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT certification (Radiography).
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and imaging techniques.
  • Experience operating fluoroscopy or C-arm equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Per Diem Fluoroscopy/Radiology Technician:
  • Two or more years of experience as a Radiology or Fluoroscopy Technician.
  • Ambulatory surgery center or outpatient setting experience.
  • Experience assisting with pain management or interventional procedures.
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
