Job Description
Title: RN - Inpatient Oncology/Hematology
Schedule:
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Required certifications: BLS, OCN
- GA or Compact RN licensure required at time of submission
- Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
- Chemotherapy handling/precautions and monitoring (if applicable)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients with oncology and hematology diagnoses.
- Administer chemotherapy, blood, and blood products as needed.
- Monitor and manage patient care related to oncologic emergencies.
- Perform port and central line care and access as required.
- Implement neutropenic precautions and administer pain management therapies (morphine/dilaudid drips, CADD/PCA pumps).
Compliance / Notes:
- All compliance documents due by the Tuesday prior to start.
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed).
