Job Summary

Northstar Fire Protection is looking for an Fire Protection Project Manager to lead to the construction of quality and competitive Fire Protection systems in an ever-changing economy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects for Fire Protection Systems.
  • Attend project jobsite meetings, start up meetings and understand the complete scope of work required for projects.
  • Review and understand all of the project bid documents.
  • Assist with change order estimates.
  • Coordinate with General contractors and Construction managers for scheduling and other coordination types of meetings.
  • Complete equipment submittals of various products for approvals.
  • Assist accounting staff with billing information.
  • Maintain and follow Operations and Maintenance manuals.
  • Work as a team with our engineering and estimating staff.
  • Submittal and retrieve permits from local AHJ.
  • Purchasing of selected materials for your project.
  • Assist and provide support for field operations.
  • Able to see the overall requirements of customer satisfaction without losing sight of the details.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience leading the design, labor, and construction of fire protection protection systems in hospitals and other commercial / industrial buildings.
  • Computer literate and comfortable with spreadsheets and computerized software programs.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, and owners.
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
