Job Title: Environmental Scientist

Professional Environmental Consulting, Inc. (PEC) is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to perform Real Estate Due Diligence (Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments) and/or environmental technician duties for asbestos-related testing and services. Candidate job location will be based around either Knoxville or Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Job Overview: Real Estate Due Diligence (Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments) for commercial properties as well as asbestos inspections and air monitoring in the Eastern Tennessee area. Candidate job location will be based around either Chattanooga or Knoxville, Tennessee.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Geology or Environmental Science degree is a must.
  • 1 to 5 years’ experience in these sciences is required.
  • A Plus - Asbestos-related, Environmental Compliance, or Property Condition Assessment experience.
  • Excellent writing skills required.
  • All required training will be provided.
  • Some short-term travel will be required.

Work Location: Candidate will be based in either Chattanooga or Knoxville, Tennessee…just a few miles from the beautiful Smoky Mountains.

Benefits: Health insurance benefit after 90 days of consecutive employment with company
paying 50% of premium for employee and IRA benefit after 2 years of consecutive employment with company match up to 3%. Salary: $45,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience.
