Job description

Job Description:
SynQor seeks anexperienced and certified SMT and THT Rework Operator who is an expert in the removal and placement of fine pitch SMT IC's, 0402 and larger discrete components as well as Through Hole Technology and THT sub-assembly removal and replacement to IPC-A-610 class 3 quality standards.
This role is different from a standard rework operator because this technician is considered a member of the manufacturing support electrical engineering team. As opposed to only working on the manufacturing line, this position focuses on supporting engineers with their work and experiments.
Hours:
This is a 1st shift (M-F; 8am - 5:00pm) position reporting to our Salem, NH facility.
Overtime is available (M-F; 7am-5:30pm).
Education:
  • High school diploma/ GED
  • IPC standards and specifications desired
Required Experience:
  • 3+ years as a rework operator at an electronics manufacturing facility
  • Soldering small bottom terminated components
  • Soldering on heavy copper printed circuit boards
  • Soldering through hole components
  • Soldering using flux, paste, and reflow oven
  • Soldering jumper wires on boards for engineers
  • Reading bill of materials and looking at component storage area
  • Taking directions from engineers
Preferred Experience (not required):
  • 5+ years in a fast paced, manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with IPC A-610 (Workmanship), and IPC-7711 (Rework); Certification to these Standards
  • Experience with Metcal soldering equipment
Skills:
  • Very good eyesight. Must be able to use a microscope and spot tiny solder defects.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to use a computer
  • Attention to detail. Dependable work.
  • Interpreting engineering documentation and working with engineers
