Job description

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - ROVING amp; SITE-BASED POSITION
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining apartment communities by providing a quality living environment for our residents at all times. This unique hybrid role combines roving responsibilities with site-based work. This position will spend two days per week rotating between properties based on portfolio needs and three days per week at The Artemis property located in Arlington, MA. This individual travel primarily between Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
As a Maintenance Technician (MT), your primary responsibilities include:
  • Showing care and concern for our residents through excellence in service ticket resolution and preventative maintenance
  • Resolving maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair
  • Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining facility equipment
  • Preparing vacant apartments for move-in through turn-over repairs and improvements
  • Preserving the safety of the community through general upkeep and cleanliness, snow removal and ground maintenance
  • Providing residents with outstanding customer service at all properties
  • Recognizing potential problems and taking appropriate action
  • Traveling to different sites in the NE portfolio (2 days per week roving)
  • Maintaining consistent presence at The Artemis (3 days per week)
  • Working weekends or evenings and being on call for after-hour emergencies
  • Operates within OSHA standards and company safety policies
What You Bring to Us:
  • Experience in maintenance preferred and/or 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Beginner to intermediate proficiency preferred but not required in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple locations
  • Availability for emergency situations at multiple properties, including an on-call rotation
  • Personal, reliable transportation to travel between properties and respond to on-call emergencies
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Basic computer skills and comfort using various software, apps and computer programs
  • Comfortable working at different properties with varying needs and layouts
  • This role requires consistent weekend availability and flexibility for emergency situations
